Uncover your path to genuine healing
True healing goes beyond just coping. Discover a transformative therapy approach designed to address your deepest struggles, quiet the noise, and help you reclaim a life of purpose and profound well-being.
Therapy for your deepest challenges
My specialized therapy services, include EMDR (an evidenced based approach that uses guided eye movements or other bilateral stimulus to help your brain naturally "re-file" stressful memories), The Flash Technique (a rapid low intensity method used to take the power out of upsetting memories), and CBT (a practical framework to identify and rewire the automatic thought patterns that drive your reactions), all which are highly effective in helping people find relief, healing, and lasting transformation in their relationships.
Anxiety & overwhelm
Quieting the noise and reclaiming your sense of calm with concrete techniques, clarity about causes, and shifts in thought patterns and body response. Improve your confidence and performance.
Loss & grief
Finding a path forward while honoring what was lost and integrating healing. Grief is sacred and personal and so is the process of healing.
Relationship trauma
Healing from the past to build healthier, more secure connections with yourself and others. When your relational GPS is navigated by past wounds, It's easy to find yourself in cycles of people pleasing or hyper-independence, or choosing partners who feel "familiar" but aren't necessarily healthy for you.
A unique blend of science and soul
By blending the structured, neurological healing of EMDR, The Flash Technique and CBT with the soulful exploration offered within a Relational Therapy framework, your transformation is both scientifically grounded and deeply personal. We will address the way the brain processes past wounds to find relief, and address the soul and connections to find greater purpose.
How CBT Complements EMDR and Flash
-
CBT helps identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns that fuel anxiety, depression, and trauma symptoms.
-
While EMDR and Flash reduce the emotional intensity of painful memories, CBT offers practical tools for managing present-day challenges.
-
Clients learn skills to reframe negative beliefs, build coping strategies, and face avoided situations.
-
Together, these approaches address both the root of distress and the patterns that keep it going.
How Relational Psychotherapy Complements EMDR and Flash
-
Relational psychotherapy explores how early relationships shape current patterns in connection, trust, and self-worth.
-
As EMDR or Flash reduce the charge of past experiences, relational work helps integrate those changes into current relationships.
-
The therapeutic relationship itself becomes a space to practice safety, authenticity, and healthier ways of relating.
Combined, these approaches support healing at the emotional, cognitive, and relational levels.
How EMDR Works (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
-
EMDR helps the brain reprocess distressing memories that feel “stuck.”
-
When trauma happens, the brain may store the memory with the original emotions, body sensations, and beliefs.
-
During EMDR, you briefly focus on the memory while engaging in bilateral stimulation (such as guided eye movements, tapping, or alternating sounds).
-
This back-and-forth stimulation helps the brain digest and update the memory.
-
Over time, the memory becomes less emotionally intense and feels more like something that happened in the past — not something still happening now.
-
Clients often experience reduced anxiety, fewer triggers, and more adaptive beliefs (e.g., “I am safe now.”).
How the Flash Technique Works
-
The Flash Technique is a gentle method used to reduce the intensity of distressing memories.
-
You do not have to describe or deeply focus on the traumatic memory.
-
Instead, you focus on something positive or neutral while the therapist briefly guides you to make very quick, minimal contact with the distressing memory.
-
This allows the brain to process the memory in the background, without overwhelming you.
-
Many people experience a noticeable drop in emotional intensity quickly.
-
Flash can be used on its own or to prepare for EMDR.
